THREE STEPS IN FILM DISTRIBUTION
Film distribution can be divided into three main stages – licensing, marketing and logistics.
STEP 1: The first step is licensing by which we’ll acquire the legal right to exploit your film. At the present time, we only distribute locally here in the US. Once the licence has been agreed and all fees and royalties are negotiated, it is our job to launch the film.
STEP 2: The second step is marketing your film also commonly known as Prints and Advertisement (or P&A). This step includes press releases, the cinema poster, advertisement, arranging visit by talent from the film (director and actors), screening.
STEP 3: The final step is logistics which represents the phase of distribution at its most basic – supplying and circulating copies of the film to theatres, of tapes and DVDs to shops and video rental stores, digital distribution and exhibition, and managing the effectiveness of the supply.
